10/15/10 Revising
The two articles in the writing books this week were both about revising your work to make it the best it can be. The helpful tips suggest re-reading your work and making adjustments to make the piece more interesting to the reader. I thoroughly enjoyed the comic showing ways to improve your work. Sometimes it's hard to do an assignment and edit it right after. Waiting a day or two before looking at it seems like it can actually help open your mind to new ideas.

Michael Jordan Article
The Michael Jordan article showed that the media can bring out the bad in everyone, even a heroic icon such as Michael Jordan. Jordan was an influential role model to young aspiring basketball stars around the world. Jordan managed to bring in millions of fans with his amazing talent and class as an athlete. 9/24/10 The Road To Excellence
I feel the "road to excellence" literacy project was made very well. It had a nice combination of visuals and small amounts of text when needed. The video shows the climax Ryan's project which was marching in the parade. The video project shows great visuals that keep the video interesting.

Literacy Project
I am choosing my high school track & field career as the subject of my project. I plan on making a video of pictures with music commemorating how it has changed my life. Before joining track, I was a very lonely and shy student who kept to himself often. One of my friends convinced me to do track and it changed my life. Not only did it help me come out of my shell, but it made me understand teamwork much better and made me feel as if I was a part of something bigger. I plan on showing pictures of my life during track and how it has affected me afterwords.
